Travel has been a interest of mine ever since I studied abroad in Australia back in 2011. That experience opened my eyes to how much there is to see and learn outside of everyday life. After grad school in 2017, I made it a personal goal to take at least one trip every year. Over time, that evolved into something more ambitious: at least one international trip each year along with other domestic trips. 

But let’s be real, travel isn’t cheap. Flights, hotels, random fees that pop up out of nowhere… it adds up fast. One day, while researching a trip, I came across an Instagram reel where someone casually mentioned they used credit card points to cover their flight. That one clip sent me down a rabbit hole. I did a deep dive across multiple sites and sources and learned how to make points and miles work for me.

I started applying what I’d learned to my own travels, and then soon found myself giving advice to family and friends, helping them to save money while booking trips. That’s what led to FarePlay. This site is my way of putting everything I’ve picked up in one place so you don’t have to spend months piecing it all together.
